| Alright I have this very odd issue with my car. I believe it has to do with the transmission as I notice no noises or any smoking coming from the engine. Under wide open throttle at high rpms the rpms surge when the car goes to shift. Like it will rev out and when it gets ready to shift the rpms drop about 500 and it revs back out and shifts. Almost like when the car breaks traction but I promise it is not breaking traction. I have a built z1 automatic transmission and torque converter they supply. At first I thought it was because I was low on fluid. So i checked it and I was about a quart low. Added the fluid, the issue did not go away. My gut is telling me it is the torque converter. Or could it be some kind of synchro of some sort in the automatic causing this?
